Harp is for everyone.

I currently teach students from ages 8-73. I work with all ages, all genders, and all types of harp enthusiasts. Whether you’re looking to pursue a lifelong relationship with the harp, start a new hobby, or intensely study to become a professional—I support all my students and their individual aspirations.

My Teaching Philosophy

My teaching philosophy rests on four pinnacles. I coach my students because I care about them. I challenge my students, because I believe in them. I require commitment, because I know their future endeavors will expect it. I hold my students accountable, just as life does for all people.

Music is art, science, math, history, athleticism, and a total reflection of oneself. I work to inform my students with a roundtable education of these subjects in their music making, and not judge them for their ignorance. Students should be inspired to go out and find answers when they don’t have them themselves, rather than ridiculed and intimidated.

Harpists should be provided a clear curriculum for their instruction, with technical modifications tailored to their bodies and learning styles to avoid injuries. No teacher can promise an education without frustrations or insecurities, but I strive to provide my students with support and help them to develop a sense of curiosity towards being problem solvers.
